75 Watt by Cohen Van Balen

Revital Cohen and Tuur Van Balen are Cohen Van Balen, based in London and active in the video/photography field with a special attention for design, biology and technology. In this video, they proposed a “product” designed with the sole purpose of being produced in China in a very alternative and slow way. In the hectic mass production system that pays almost no attention to factory employees, 75 watts is a parody that makes me wonder how much we value our power to consume vs the wellbeing of the people behind the objects we buy.
